Mathew Anim Cudjoe, midfielder for Sakhnin
Ghanaian youngster Mathew Anim Cudjoe scored a stunning goal on Saturday, December 14, 2024, in the Israel Ligat Ha’al during Sakhnin’s match against Maccabi Petah Tikva.
Cudjoe, who joined the Israeli club as a free agent in 2024 from Dundee United, has made eight consecutive starts for Sakhnin, highlighting his importance to the team.
Playing in his eighth game, Cudjoe’s phenomenal strike seemed poised to secure all three points for Sakhnin until a late equalizer by Petah Tikva ensured both teams shared the spoils.
Nonetheless, it was Cudjoe’s goal that captured the spotlight. Cutting onto his left foot, he unleashed a trademark curler into the top-right corner, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.
The goal was Cudjoe’s second of the 2024/25 season and his third goal contribution in eight appearances, having also provided one assist.
