Vision FC edged Medeama in a dramatic five-goal thriller at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema on Saturday, December 14, 2024.

The action-packed encounter saw both sides finish with 10 men, a missed penalty, and a late winner deep into stoppage time.

Joshua Rhule gave Vision an early lead in the 4th minute, setting the tone for an intense contest. Frank Duku doubled the lead just before halftime, putting the hosts in control.

However, Duku missed a golden opportunity to extend Vision’s lead further, failing to convert a penalty in the 61st minute.

The game turned chaotic in the 66th minute when Medeama’s Emmanuel Cudjoe and a Vision player were shown red cards following a heated altercation.

Medeama capitalized on the disruption, with Bernardinho Tetteh pulling one back in the 67th minute and Michael Sarpong leveling the score in the 83rd minute.

Vision, however, refused to settle for a draw, and Emmanuel Kyei Baffour struck the decisive goal in the 10th minute of added time, securing a much-needed win for the home side.

Medeama dominated possession with 56%, creating more goal attempts (8) than Vision (7). However, Vision were more clinical, registering four shots on target to Medeama’s two.

This victory ends Vision’s four-game winless run and lifts them out of the relegation zone, while Medeama’s two-game winning streak came to an end, dropping them to fifth place.

Vision will face Young Apostles in their next fixture, while Medeama looks to bounce back against Karela United.
