    The Ghana Olympic Committee has congratulated President-elect John Dramani Mahama, describing his victory as an ”emphatic reelection.”

    A statement issued by President of GOC Ben Nunoo Mensah said the remarkable comeback of Mr. Mahama is a testament to strength, character, resilience, and selfless leadership, as well as an overwhelming trust and confidence the Ghanaian people have in his vision for the country.

    The GOC said it recognises Mahama’s longstanding commitment to youth empowerment, sports development and promotion. He also referenced Mahama’s commitment to creating an environment to attract sports investments.

    The GOC added that the election of Mahama as President will ensure limitless opportunities for the sports industry.

    The statement assured the President-elect of GOC’s unwavering support and cooperation in advancing the youth and sports agenda of the NDC’s government.
