Ghanaian rapper Kwame Ametepee Tsikata, popularly known as M.anifest, has reaffirmed his stance on the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) loss in the December 7, 2024, election, attributing it to poor governance.

This comment comes after the rapper, in an interview on the BBC, emphasised that the NPP lost power due to widespread dissatisfaction among citizens with the country’s governance.

Defending his assertion on Starr Chat with Bola Ray on Thursday, December 12, 2024, M.anifest clarified that his statement was not driven by political allegiance but rather by his commitment to speaking the truth as a Ghanaian.

According to him, many people are hesitant to express their opinions due to fear of being labeled as biased.

However, he remains resolute in his conviction, emphasising that the majority of Ghanaians are concerned about the country’s decline.

He said, “I was Ghanaian; that’s the side I took, a very Ghanaian stance, which is a stance that is very unwavering towards the truth. I think people are caught up in the worry of being pigeonholders that they are afraid to speak the truth.”

“The truth is, I think what I said in that interview is that the majority of the people are concerned that the country is being run down; that’s the word on the street.”
