An online doctor, @gynemedics shares that the use of hair relaxers can lead to fibroid growth in the womb of women.

The doctor reveals this as one of the major causes of fibroid in African women, who use it the most. Due to the texture of their hair, which they call “stubborn,” these women apply relaxers to tame and soften the hair to make it less painful whenever they make or comb it.

However, according to the Nigerian doctor, medical studies and research over the years have indicated strongly that the chemicals used to make these hair relaxers is toxic to well-being.

He went further to explain that hair relaxers have also been linked to several illnesses such as various forms of cancer that plague the woman’s body.

Here are the reactions to the video:

baebee112: So what about someone who hasn’t retouched her hair for once and still has uterine fibroid ?

user4367585667: I know some Deeper Life sisters who have not used relaxers but had fibroid.

WealthLove: Doctor for real, but we are used to it o, our natural hair is not easy to take care of, tell us the alternative.
