The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Canada Chapter has extended its congratulations to the president-elect of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, on his emphatic victory in the recent presidential elections.

According to the group, for the past eight years, Ghanaians have endured considerable challenges under the governance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) led by President Nana Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

The Canada chapter explained that economic mismanagement during this period has plunged the nation into a significant downturn, exacerbating hardships for millions of citizens.

The NDC Canada Chapter views this election as a pivotal “tsunami of change,” reflecting the nation’s confidence in John Dramani Mahama and the NDC to chart a path to renewed prosperity and socioeconomic advancement.

“Ghanaians everywhere, particularly those in the diaspora, are inspired by this victory, we warmly welcome John Dramani Mahama back as President and are confident he will build upon his prior achievements, steering Ghana towards unity and sustainable growth,” the NDC Canada Chapter said in a statement.

The chapter emphasized its optimism that Mahama’s visionary leadership will address the nation’s pressing challenges, fostering progress and development for all citizens.

“Congratulations once again, President-elect John Dramani Mahama, your victory is well-earned, and we eagerly anticipate the positive impact your leadership will bring to our beloved country.”
