Ace sports broadcaster Bright Kankam Boadu expressed his excitement upon learning that incumbent Kobina Tahir Hammond lost the Adansi-Asokwa constituency seat.

According to Kankam, the long-serving MP exhibited an unserious demeanour, which contrasts with the determination of the youth demanding a better life.

“I was really happy when KT Hammond lost his seat. He’s been unserious in Parliament. The youth in this country are very serious, and they demonstrated that in the election, sending a message to politicians that it’s about time,” he said on Pure FM.

“Start seeing the youth as key contributors to development. Do things that improve their lives,” Kankam added.

KT Hammond, who had held the Adansi-Asokwa constituency seat since 2001, lost it to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Animli Dorgbadzi Dorani.

Hammond garnered 13,275 votes, while Dorgbadzi secured 14,229 votes, flipping the seat from the NPP.
