The manager of the English Premier League side Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, has announced that he does not plan to take on another managerial role with a club team once he leaves the club.

He explained that he has managed club teams for quite some time and would like to explore a different avenue when his tenure with the Premier League club comes to an end.

The Spanish manager hinted that he would prefer to lead a national team and prepare them for various tournaments, including the World Cup, to gain experience in international football.

During a media briefing on December 10, 2024, Guardiola shed some light on his future as a coach.

“I’m not going to manage any other club after City. I’m not talking about the long-term future, but what I’m not going to do is leave, go to another country, and do the same thing as now. Maybe a national team, but that’s different,” he said.

Guardiola recently extended his contract with Manchester City in November 2024 for one year, with an option for another year extension if he desires.

He has won the Premier League title a record six times, with five consecutive wins. Additionally, he has secured one Champions League trophy, as well as the FA Cup and other accolades.
