    The Ghana Center for Religion and Public Life (CRPL-Ghana) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to John Dramani Mahama on his election as the President of the Republic of Ghana.

    In a statement, CRPL-Ghana expressed its commitment to supporting President Mahama in his efforts to foster peace, tolerance, and inclusiveness across the nation.

    The organization emphasized the importance of unity in driving the nation’s development and pledged its backing for initiatives that promote national harmony.

    “On this note, Your Excellency, we congratulate you once again and wish you God’s protection, guidance, and wisdom in your future endeavors,” the statement read.

    The CRPL-Ghana reaffirmed its readiness to collaborate with the new administration to achieve the shared vision of a peaceful and prosperous Ghana.

    The Electoral Commission Chairperson, Jean Mensa, on Monday, December 9, declared Mahama the winner, with a total of 6,328,397 votes. Dr. Bawumia received 4,657,304 votes.

    Mahama’s party, the NDC, achieved a historic success by gaining a majority in the Parliament.

    According to the National Communications Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi, the party has so far won 185 parliamentary seats.
