An Athletic Club fan surprised Nico Williams with a box of powdered fufu, stating that he knows the Ghanaian-born Spanish international loves the delicacy.
The Williams brothers, Nico and Inaki, have often shared their love for fufu on social media.
After Athletic Club’s 2-1 win over Real Madrid on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, a fan was spotted in the parking lot handing Nico the box of powdered fufu.
The fan, who revealed he is Ghanaian, praised the winger for his performances and humorously asked if Nico could prepare it himself. Nico responded with a smile, saying his mom would take care of that.
They later exchanged pleasantries, with the fan complimenting Nico’s performance against Real Madrid. In return, Nico replied in Twi, saying, “Medaase” (Thank you).
Nico since breaking into the first team of Athletic Club has been sensational. He has a goal and three assists in fourteen league games this season.
