President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians to vote for New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in the 2024 general elections.

He stated that former President John Dramani Mahama failed woefully during his four-year term in government and hence cannot be trusted to lead the nation again.

The President noted that Dr. Bawumia, who has been involved in politics for 16 years, is capable of managing the country far better than his opponents in the 2024 general elections.

Speaking at the NPP final rally held at the University of Ghana on December 5, 2024, Akufo-Addo advised the electorate to reject Mahama and vote for the NPP to lead the country successfully.

“We should vote for Bawumia because he is the best candidate in the race. A man of unimpeachable integrity and very loyal, and he has been in politics for 16 years. Someone claims to be more experienced, yet he is a one-term president.

“He has an experience of failure, so how will that benefit the people of Ghana? That is why I am pleading with you all to vote for Bawumia, number one on the ballot, for the best governance,” he said.

The NPP held its final rally to woo party supporters and the general public for their votes ahead of the crucial December 7, 2024, general elections.

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor, NPP National Chairman Stephen Ntim, Kennedy Agyapong, Justin Frimpong Kodua, and other party leaders were in attendance.
