Flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has promised to protect Ghana’s beautiful diversity.

He intends to do this by being President for all, regardless of religion and tribe.

In a post shared via social media, he said, “Yesterday, I had the honour of praying and interacting with the National Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, Imams and Zongo Chiefs, in Accra, at a special thanksgiving and prayer session for the nation, for a peaceful election and for God’s favour for me on December 7, as I seek to be elected President to serve our dear country.

I also seized the opportunity to share my political journey of destiny, the achievements of the NPP and our positive impact on the Zongo community through the Zongo Development Fund, as well as my vision and transformative policies I seek to implement as President, God willing.

I also reiterated my commitment to be President for all, regardless of religious and ethnic affiliations, to protect and strengthen the beautiful diversity of our country.

I thank the National Chief Imam, the Imams, the Zongo Chief and all those who attended the special prayers for our country and for my success on Saturday, December 7, Inshaa Allah.
