The Judicial Service of Ghana has finally clarified the recent transfer of Justice Priscilla Dikro Ofori, who was presiding over the case against Alex Kwabena Sarfo-Kantanka, the failed Juaben MCE nominee .

According to the Judicial Service, the transfer of judges is a routine annual exercise, or done as necessitated by circumstances. They emphasized that judges who are transferred must complete any cases they’ve heard close to completion and submit a Case Completion Plan to the Office of the Chief Justice.

In this case, Justice Priscilla Dikro Ofori was transferred from Kumasi to Accra, a move that the Judicial Service says is standard procedure. The Service’s statement aimed to address concerns and misinformation surrounding the transfer, emphasizing that it was not motivated by ill intentions.
