Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko have progressed to the Round of 32 in the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup. Both teams secured victories against Immigration FC and Future Stars, respectively.

Asante Kotoko’s Albert Amoah stole the show with a brilliant brace at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday. His scintillating second-half display sent the Porcupine Warriors through to the next round.

The first half ended goalless, with both teams struggling to capitalize on scoring opportunities. However, Kotoko shifted gears in the second half, taking control of the game. Amoah opened the scoring in the 65th minute with a clinical finish after latching onto a brilliant through ball from midfielder Dauda Saaka.

Kotoko maintained their momentum and sealed the victory in the 86th minute with another stunning strike from Amoah. He unleashed a powerful shot that flew into the top left corner for the second goal.

In Accra, Hearts of Oak dismantled lower-tier side Immigration FC 4-0 to advance. Martin Karikari, a brace from Mawuli Wayo, and a cool finish from Stephen Appiah Asare sealed victory for the record holders.

Other winners in the Round of 64 include King Faisal, Nations FC, Dreams FC, FC Nania, Golden Kick and Danbort FC.
