This is the moment a Russian woman shopkeeper, 55, disarmed a gun-toting robber, 46, striking him with the butt of his rifle as she forced him out of her grocery store.
The hero has not been identified yet but she has won praise for her bravery.
She swiftly reported the incident and the robber was detained in Yubileiny, Vershino-Darasunsky district in TransBaikal region, one of the world’s coldest regions.
The woman was ‘scared for her life’ when the masked intruder holding an air rifle came into her shop.
What followed is out of sight of the security camera but the woman handed him her small change – around £7.50.
As she handed it over, she grabbed the gun from the hapless robbed.
As they struggled, the shelves in the shop were seen shaking.
She managed to grab not only the gun but she ripped off his mask, say reports.

Then the woman is seen clutching the rifle as her attacker retreats from the shop.
She strikes him with the butt of the gun as she sends him packing.
‘He picked the wrong girl,’ she said.
The police report praised the shop assistant: ‘When the money was handed over, the woman behind the counter did not lose her composure.
‘She snatched the weapon from the attacker and tore off his mask.
‘Later, she described his appearance to the police.
‘The man was detained three hours later.
‘A criminal case for robbery was opened against him.’
