During the thanksgiving service to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the return of King Prempeh I from his years of exile held at St. Cyprian’s Anglican Church in Kumasi on November 24, 2024, an Anglican priest prayed for the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and Lady Julia Osei Tutu.

In the viral video, the priest appears to be dazed after touching Otumfuo to pray for him.

He was captured shaking the moment he placed his hands on the Asantehene.

The Asantehene, adorned in a white locally made cloth, stood with his wife, Lady Julia, as they received prayers during the solemn service.

The service also marked the climax of the 25th-anniversary celebration of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

The event was graced by the President of Seychelles, the Prime Minister of Eswatini, and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
