Traditional clubs Okwawu United and Heart of Lions are both aiming for trophy glory at the end of the competition.

Ahead of the Round of 64 games, the General Manager and spokesperson for Okwawu United and Heart of Lions have declared their teams’ intentions during an interview with Max FM.

Ahead of their clash with Attram De Visser, Nana Kwame Dankwa, General Manager of Okwawu United, has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to go all the way.

“We are confident of winning against Attram De Visser in the FA Cup, and our eyes are firmly set on reaching the final. This competition is a great opportunity for us to showcase the fighting spirit we’ve always had at Okwawu United. We aim to demonstrate the same resilience and determination that has been a hallmark of our club’s history,” he said.

The Okwawu United General Manager also revealed the team’s eagerness to make a statement in this year’s competition.

“This is an exciting time for Okwawu United, and we are ready to make a statement in this year’s FA Cup,” he concluded.

However, they could face stiff competition from another ambitious team: Heart of Lions. The Premier League club are also eyeing history in this year’s FA Cup.

The Kpando-based side are set to play against Dreams FC on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the Tuba Astro Turf Park.

Their spokesperson, Eric Eli Adzi, highlighted the team’s goal of competing on the continental stage.

“We are determined to make history and achieve something remarkable this season. The FA Cup is a major target for us because it gives us the platform to compete in Africa and showcase the strength of Ghanaian football. Our players are fully focused, and the team is ready to give it our all,” he said.

The Round of 64 matches kick off today, November 29, 2024, with three matches. Clubs such as Okwawu United, Legon Cities, Home Stars, Bechem United, Attram De Visser, and Rainmasters will all battle for a place in the Round of 32.
