Gospel artiste Grace Ashly has expressed her disappointment in the Black Stars over their inability to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

She noted that the poor results the team has been producing in recent times have caused most Ghanaians to lose trust in the team, which is a worrying situation.

The gospel artiste, who composed a song for the Black Stars during the 2014 FIFA World Cup, lamented how she was unfairly treated by some team officials some time ago.

Speaking in an interview with GhOne TV, Ashly bemoaned the dwindling fortunes of Ghana football, especially with the Black Stars‘ terrible performances.

“I am tired of the Black Stars, they did not treat me well at all,” she said.

Ashly is well recognized in the sporting fraternity when she composed a song for the Black Stars during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Meanwhile, many Ghanaians and sports personalities have called for Otto Addo to be relieved of his coaching role to help the Black Stars prepare well with a new manager before the 2026 World Cup qualifiers begin.

After six matches played in their qualifiers, Ghana lost three and drew three games, winning none.

The team finished at the bottom of Group F with just three points, while Sudan and Angola qualified from the group.

It marks the first time in 20 years the Black Stars have not qualified for the AFCON.
