Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has submitted his report to the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) after leading the team to a shambolic 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.

The manager’s report primarily highlighted issues that contributed to the Black Stars’ poor performance in the qualifiers.

The report also included recommendations for areas that need improvement to help restore the team to the required standard.

Otto Addo took responsibility for his decisions regarding the captaincy, acknowledged the impact of injuries, addressed the contrast in the team’s performance and results, and made specific requests concerning his backroom staff.

The Executive Council reviewed the manager’s report on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, and expressed confidence in him to lead the team in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Below is a list of the key details in Otto Addo’s report according to 3Sports

    1. Injuries of key players affected team performance

    2. Accepted responsibility for disunity and tension in camp after making Mohammed Kudus captain

    3. The team’s performance did not match the results, especially in home games

    4. Preparations were affected by the late arrival of players.

    5. Request additional backroom staff.
