A young man has drowned while swimming with friends at a popular swimming hole days out from the start of summer.
Emergency services rushed toย Winifred Falls in the Royal National Park inย Sydney‘s southย at about 2.35pm on Monday following reports of a drowning.
The swimmer was pulled out of the water unconscious after he failed to resurface.
The man, 19, was unable to be revived at the scene, despite paramedics’ best efforts.
He’s yet to be formally identified, a NSW police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.ย

Reception issues due to the remote location within the national park have complicated identifying the man and the circumstances surrounding his death.ย
‘Police established aย crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the manโs death,’ a NSW Police statement read/
Authorities will prepare a report for the coroner.
