The Ghana Police Service has launched a manhunt for two suspects involved in an attempted robbery at the Rahama Forex Bureau in Lapaz, on Friday, November 22, 2024.

A press statement from the police indicated that their swift response foiled the suspects’ efforts to execute the robbery.

“The swift response of the Police to the scene thwarted the efforts of the suspects to carry out the robbery,” portions of the statement said.

The police further assured the public of their commitment to apprehending the suspects, stating, “We would like to assure the public that we will surely get them and bring them to face justice.”

The attempted robbery caused a significant commotion at the scene, with a viral video capturing the moment several police officers surrounded the forex bureau.

Reports indicate that the suspects were trapped inside the premises as the police cordoned off the area, awaiting reinforcement.

The suspects however escaped through a backdoor.
