2023 FA Cup winners Dreams FC are brimming with confidence ahead of their game against Karela, following their first back-to-back wins of the season.
So far this season, Dreams FC have endured a torrid time in the Ghana Premier League. With 11 matches played, Dreams find themselves sitting 15th in the league standings.
However, after a tough start, the “Still Believe” lads seem to have found their feet. Two consecutive wins, against Medeama and newly promoted side Vision FC, might just have turned their season in the right direction, as they have climbed out of the relegation zone.
Speaking on Dreams FC’s YouTube channel, midfielder Emmanuel Acquah said that although the team struggled early in the season, the recent wins have boosted their confidence for the game against Karela on Sunday, November 24, 2024.
“It has really helped a lot. From the beginning, we were really struggling, and our confidence was very low. But when we won against Medeama and also got an away win against Vision, it really boosted our confidence. Come this Sunday, we are confident we can get the maximum three points at home.”
With relegation staring Dreams FC in the face, Acquah cautioned against complacency, emphasizing the need to stay focused on the task ahead.
“We really need to stay focused. Even though we’ve won two games in a row, we still need to remain very focused because we cannot rest on our laurels. We need to keep pushing and doing our best because there are many more games to play. We can’t just sit back and enjoy two victories,” he added.
Dreams FC will face a struggling Karela FC, who will also be aiming for their first win in five games.
