The Ghana Police Service has interdicted with immediate effect Detective Corporal Baba Amando Ibrahim, stationed at Tuna Police Station in the Savannah Region, for professional misconduct.

The Police officer was sighted in a viral video assaulting a member of the public.

His interdiction is to allow for a thorough investigation into his conduct in line with Police Service Regulations.

According to a statement shared on the Police Service’s social media X, “The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) has reached out to the family of the victim and offered assurance of support. The IGP has accordingly directed the Savannah Regional Police Commander to work with the family in this regard,” the statement concluded.
