Ghanaian preacher and singer Sonnie Badu has described the current government as a failed one in the country.

In an interview on Accra FM on November 20, 2024, the singer called on electorates to take the high cost of living in the country into consideration when voting on December 7.

He emphasized that Ghanaians should not be carried away by the goodies provided by politicians on election day.

“Don’t let someone deceive you with gari, rice, and yam, so you throw away your precious vote. The only time you have power is now, and it’s shown by politicians visiting and mingling with you in towns and villages as if they can relate to your circumstances; when they get power, they will never come back,” he said.

Sonnie Badu also called on Ghanaians to vote out failed leaders who have brought economic hardship to the country.

“If you are happy, vote. If you are not, vote. Consider your circumstances and vote. And vote out leaders who did not help the country when voted into power. I am only sharing my principles,” he added.

Sonnie Badu is a Ghanaian gospel founder and leader of Rock Hill Church.

He has numerous hit songs to his credit. Songs like “Baba,” “My Soul Says Yes,” “Still You Reign,” and many others.
