Following the Black Stars’ loss to Niger in their last Group F game at the Accra Sports Stadium, the Coach, Otto Addo, spoke to the media.

Mohammed Kudus missed an important penalty in the game’s closing moments as Ghana scuffled against their West African opponents.

Osseini Badamassai gave Niger the lead in the 12th minute, but Jerry Afriyie’s equalizer in the 67th minute gave Ghana hope. But Oumar Sako’s free-kick goal in the 92nd minute gave Niger the victory.

After failing to qualify Ghana for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Otto Addo responded to media inquiries and calls for his resignation.

He expressed his sadness due to Ghana’s inability to qualify for the continental tournament next year.

“This is part of the job, and I know you want me to resign, or I don’t know what you want me to do. To cry or whatever, I don’t want to go home to my family because when I go, I will see them crying, and I am sad as well.

“I am very sad that Ghanaians are sad; it touches me very much. I don’t think you will get it. I was born in Germany; some others chose to play for different countries. I never had this in my heart. I always wanted to play for Ghana, to always represent Ghana.
