Ghanaian dancehall legend Samini has explained why he has no intention of jumping on X Spaces or TikTok live simply to entertain people.
The award-winning musician made this known at the launch of the Samini Xperience 2026, Dansoman Edition, which took place on Friday, October 16, 2026, as he prepares to bring his signature concert back to Dansoman during the festive season.
Speaking at the event, Samini made it clear that he would not make himself available on these platforms just for people who do not come close to his status to get the opportunity to disrespect him.

According to the musician, the culture surrounding celebrity-fan interactions has changed significantly over the years, with social media making it increasingly easy for people to attack public figures from behind their phones.
Speaking about how things used to be in the entertainment industry, Samini explained that there was a time when fans hardly had direct access to their favourite stars.
He stressed that anyone who wanted to see a musician perform had to make an effort, including paying to attend a concert and watch the artiste live on stage.
He noted that, in those days, it was difficult for a fan to simply approach a major star and openly disrespect them in the manner some people do today on social media.
However, the musician observed that things have changed in the digital age, where anybody, regardless of their location or standing in society, can pick up a phone, join an online conversation and insult a celebrity without facing the kind of barriers that existed in the past.
For Samini, the ease of access provided by social media has made some people believe they can speak to established musicians anyhow, simply because they are interacting with them through a screen.
The veteran artiste therefore stated that he is unwilling to join online conversations merely to satisfy people who might use the opportunity to attack or disrespect him.
Samini, however, clarified that he was not completely shutting the door on X Spaces or TikTok live.
He explained that he could consider going live on these platforms if he believed the engagement would genuinely contribute to his craft and serve a meaningful professional purpose.
He added that any such interaction would be carefully considered, with his team likely to select individuals they believe could add value to the discussions and contribute positively to the projects or initiatives involved.
