Ghanaian rapper Medikal has issued a strong warning to men who make it a habit of spending nights at women’s houses, popularly described in Ghanaian slang as going for “Salomey,” following a frightening experience he claims nearly cost him his life years ago.
In a video shared online, the award-winning musician recounted a terrifying encounter he had during one of his past visits to a woman’s residence.
According to Medikal, he had visited the lady at her house when, before he could fully understand what was happening, a gun was pointed at him and he was ordered to kneel down.

The rapper described the incident as a horrifying experience, explaining that he suddenly found himself in a situation where his safety was no longer guaranteed.
With a gun pointed at him, he said he had no choice but to beg for his life.
His warning comes at a time when discussions about the dangers associated with the so-called “Salomey” lifestyle have gained attention following reports surrounding the sad death of Nana Yaw Kyere, popularly known as Terry or Dinero, a 33-year-old mobile phone dealer who operated around Circle in Accra.
Reports indicated that the phone dealer went missing after leaving his home in Kokomlemle on September 19, 2026, before his body was later discovered at Community 18 near Tema. Three suspects were subsequently reported to have been arrested in connection with the case.
The incident attracted public attention amid reports that the deceased had visited a woman at Teshie. However, his sister, Maame Sika Edem, reportedly disputed claims that he had gone there to pursue a romantic interest, insisting that he had gone to fulfil a phone delivery request.
