    The Black Stars of Ghana face Niger in their final game of the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers at the Accra Sports Stadium on November 18, 2024.

    The result of the game will not impact Ghana’s fortunes in the qualifiers, as the country has already failed to make it to the tournament.

    However, Niger, who are third in the group with three points, could qualify for the tournament if they manage to win against the Black Stars and Sudan loses their last match to Angola.

    Ghana has been dealt a heavy blow after key players like Jordan Ayew, Gideon Mensah, Alidu Seidu, and Fatawu Issahaku pulled out of the squad due to injury following the team’s 1-1 draw against Angola.

    Ghana now finds itself at the bottom of Group F, with just 3 points from 5 matches, including two losses and three draws.

    Angola, who have already secured qualification, lead the group with 13 points, while Sudan and Niger follow with 7 and 4 points, respectively.

    This marks the first time in 21 years that the Black Stars have failed to qualify for the prestigious tournament.
