Unbeaten Pennsylvania boxer defeats Mike Conway by unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring the eight-round contest 80–72
NORTH VERSAILLES, Pennsylvania — Salvatore “Triple Dog” DeSimone became the new Universal Boxing Federation (UBF) All Americas Lightweight Champion on Saturday, October 3, defeating Mike “Maverick” Conway by unanimous decision at Sunny Days Arena.
All three judges returned identical scores of 80–72 for DeSimone following the full eight-round distance. The victory secured the vacant championship and improved his unbeaten professional record to 7–0 with two knockouts. Conway’s record moved to 7–6–1.
Based in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, DeSimone reached this championship milestone less than two years after making his professional debut in October 2024. He entered the contest with six consecutive victories and added his seventh win against Conway.
The championship contest took place as part of Hazard Pay Fight Co.’s “The Battle of North Versailles,” promoted by Bill “Hutch” Hutchinson. Peter Czymbor of Boston Boxing Promotions served as matchmaker, with the event held under the jurisdiction of the Pennsylvania Athletic Commission.
The Universal Boxing Federation congratulates DeSimone and his team on their championship achievement and recognizes Conway and his team for competing for the title over the full eight-round distance.
