    Details Of The Final Funeral Rite Of Grace Nortey Announced

    The family of veteran Ghanaian actress Grace Naa Kwarley Nortey, popularly known as Maame Gyata, has announced details of her final funeral rites following her death at the age of 89.

    Grace Nortey passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).

    According to the funeral announcement details that has surfaced online, the late actress will be laid to rest on Saturday, October 31, 2026, with the burial service scheduled to take place at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra.

    The service is scheduled to begin at 8:00am, after which her interment will be conducted privately.

    The final funeral rites will continue the following day, Sunday, November 1, 2026, with a thanksgiving service at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Osu, also beginning at 8:00am.

    Mourners, friends, colleagues and sympathisers attending both occasions have been asked to wear all-white attire.

    The late actress is survived by her children, including Mrs. Vida Enchill, Ms. Andriana Nortey, Mrs. Barbara Tabi, Ms. Sheila Nortey and Ms. Rita Nortey.
