Veteran Ghanaian actress Adjoa Pee has accused Kumawood actor Mr Beautiful of allegedly keeping part of money former President John Mahama sent to support her medical treatment during a difficult period in her life.
The actress, whose real name is Helena Maame Adwoa Petreba Pieterson, made the allegation while recounting her struggles and the support she received from some individuals when she was battling an illness.
According to Adjoa Pee, Mr Beautiful contacted then-President John Mahama on her behalf about four years ago after learning about her health condition.

She said Mahama responded to the actor’s appeal by giving him money to be delivered to her to assist with her treatment.
However, Adjoa Pee alleged that when Mr Beautiful brought the money, he informed her that he would take a portion of it as transportation expenses.
The veteran actress said the development left her disappointed, particularly because the money had reportedly been given specifically to support her at a time when she was going through health challenges.
Adjoa Pee also accused Mr Beautiful of failing to respond to her calls during the period when she needed assistance.
“I was calling him, but he was not answering my calls,” she said in an interview with Bro Emmanuel shared on Facebook.
The actress’s allegations come amid a broader discussion about the support she believes she has received from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), a party she says she has supported for several years.
