Ghanaian pastor and philanthropist Daniel Amoateng has touched lives once again after paying the fines of 20 inmates at the Nsawam Prison to secure their release.
The humanitarian gesture saw Pastor Amoateng, accompanied by some members of his church, Power of Worship International (POWI), visit the correctional facility to facilitate the release of the beneficiaries.
Popular media personality Serwaa Amihere and social media sensation Quecy Official were also present at the prison to witness the emotional moment and support the initiative.

Pastor Amoateng’s intervention did not end with simply paying the fines of the 20 inmates as each beneficiary walked out of the prison was made to walk on a red carpet as a symbolic representation of stepping into a new chapter of their lives.
He also handed each of them a white envelope and a white shirt bearing the inscription “I Am Still Alive.”
The message on the shirts was intended to signify hope, survival and a new beginning for the beneficiaries after their time behind bars.
Speaking to Quecy Official in an interview, Pastor Amoateng explained that the church’s support would continue beyond their release.
According to him, Power of Worship International is also making arrangements for the beneficiaries to learn various trades, with the aim of equipping them with practical skills that can help them rebuild their lives.
Pastor Amoateng explained that the initiative was meant to help the beneficiaries understand that their incarceration did not mean that their lives were over.
Rather, the church wants to give them an opportunity to start again, acquire skills and become productive members of society.
In her own interview with Quecy Official, Serwaa Amihere applauded Pastor Amoateng for the gesture, particularly the decision to give the former inmates another opportunity to rebuild their lives.
The latest gesture adds to Pastor Amoateng’s record of humanitarian activities, particularly his efforts to support vulnerable people and correctional institutions.
His philanthropic activities have previously included donations to correctional facilities and support for initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of inmates and young offenders.
