Ghanaian musician Barosky is finally back home after a difficult period in Manchester, United Kingdom, with Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa confirming that the government has successfully facilitated his repatriation to Ghana.

The veteran musician, known privately as Isaac Obeng Mensah, arrived at Kotoka International Airport in Accra on Monday, September 7, 2026, at about 7:45 p.m. He was received by government officials and members of his family following the journey from the United Kingdom.

Per information sighted by Zionfelix.net, Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa confirmed Barosky’s return in a social media post, stating: “I can confirm that we have repatriated Barosky and he is safely back with us in Ghana.”

The minister explained that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs fully sponsored Barosky’s repatriation as part of its consular mandate. According to him, the government is also providing psychosocial support and financial assistance to help the musician reintegrate into society following his return.

The development follows widespread concern over Barosky’s condition after distressing footage surfaced on August 23, 2026, showing him sleeping rough and struggling on the streets of Manchester. The footage generated significant public reaction, with many Ghanaians calling for intervention.

Media personality Nana Romeo played a key role in bringing Barosky’s plight to wider public attention. The minister specifically expressed gratitude to Nana Romeo and others who helped draw attention to the musician’s situation.

Following the public outcry, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK, Sabah Zita Benson, travelled to Manchester to meet Barosky and engage with members of the Ghanaian community. The intervention subsequently paved the way for his safe return to Ghana.

Ablakwa also commended Ghana’s High Commission in the UK for what he described as its “impressive coordination”, adding that the government remains committed to supporting distressed Ghanaians abroad.

“We strive to leave no Ghanaian behind,” the minister stated.

Barosky’s return marks an important new chapter for the musician, with the government’s psychosocial and reintegration assistance expected to support him as he settles back into life in Ghana.
