
Gary Glitter has pleaded not guilty to sexually abusing a girl in the 1970s and 1980s.
The ex-pop star, real name Paul Gadd, has denied eight allegations of sexual abuse against a girl when she was aged between eight and 11.
The bespectacled 82-year-old appeared via videolink at Southwark Crown Court wearing a blue shirt, grey coat and green cap.
The allegations were first reported to Scotland Yard on January 9 last year and Glitter was interviewed on July 22, 2025 in relation to the investigation.
The disgraced star sold 18 million records in the early 1970s and enjoyed transatlantic success with a string of hits.
