The Black Stars of Ghana conducted their second training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, as they prepare for their must-win game against Angola in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

The arrival of several key players was a major boost for Head Coach Otto Addo who has been made to deal with the withdrawal of some key members of his squad. Otto Addo had 22 players to train with, which is a major improvement on the 8 he trained with on Monday.

The players who joined the team for the second day of training include Jordan Ayew, Ernest Nuamah, Alidu Seidu, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, Kingsley Schindler, Francis Abu, Forson Amankwah, Ibrahim Sulemana, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.

A video shared by the Ghana Football Association showed the players had some running drills, physical training, and passing sequences. In contrast, the goalkeepers also passed through saving drills with the goalkeepers’ coach Fatawu Dauda.

Before the final training drill, Head Coach Otto Addo was seen passing out some instructions to his team, clarifying how he wanted them to play.

The team will leave Ghana for Luanda on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Upon arrival, they will have their final training on Thursday before they face Angola on Friday, November 15.

Ghana currently sit third in the standings of Group F, having earned just two points from four matches.
