A California high school teacher has been suspended after launching into an expletive-filled rant against President Donald Trump in front of his students.
Maximiliano Perez, an Advanced Placement history teacher at Valley View High School in Moreno Valley, was recorded ranting to his history students just one day after the presidential election.
In a recording obtained by user Corey DeAngelis on X, Perez is heard telling his students that the election result ‘is not a f***ing game’ and that they could even end up ‘in a concentration camp’ and ‘with no human rights’ under Trump’s presidency.
‘This s*** is not a f******* game. Does that make sense everybody? I can’t emphasize this enough. Can you end up in a concentration camp in your lifetime? Yes.’
Perez accused the former president of quoting Adolf Hitler and ’embodying some of Hitler’s ideas’, calling him ‘treasonous scum’ and a ‘rapist, draft-dodging coward’.

‘Can you end up with no human rights? Yes,’ he added. ‘Will it happen to you? Most likely not, which is a good thing. But has Donald Trump quoted Hitler? Yes. Does he embody some of Hitler’s ideas? Yes.’
The teacher even took aim at students’ own families, telling them he knows ‘a lot of Latino men who wish they were white’ – including their ‘fathers, uncles, and grandfathers’.
‘He won because white women didn’t show up and vote for Kamala Harris. He won because Black men and Brown men didn’t show up and vote for Kamala Harris.
‘Let me tell you, I know a lot of Latino men on this campus, adults and students, that love Donald Trump, and he’s called their mothers rapists. He’s called their fathers rapists. He’s called them criminals. He called them the poison in the blood of our country.’
‘God, they wanna be White so bad but they never will be,’ Perez allegedly said in recordings. ‘I hate that s***. I hate Latino men that oppress the women in their family, their own daughters. And then they turn around and vote for men who want to oppress them.’
Perez’s then went on to attack the topic of gender as well, as he ranted: ‘God I f***ing hate the patriarchy. If you’re a young man right now in front of me, I hope you hate it too […] you get the privilege of not being born with a uterus.’
‘You get the privilege of not being born with a uterus, so it doesn’t affect you. It’s affecting everyone. I’m so f******* sorry, guys. You deserve better. Look at me. You deserve better. Do you have privilege because you live here? Yes.’

He went on to tell his history students that they are privileged that they live in the state of California because ‘there is some poor Palestinian boy in Michigan that’s gonna get beat up today.’
‘You’re not a five-year-old Black girl in Arkansas who’s the only African-American in her class and whose great-grandfather was lynched during the civil rights movement. You have a f**** ton of privilege living in this great state,’ he said.
‘This election is going to affect billions of people. You’re very lucky to be where you’re at because there is some poor Palestinian boy in Michigan who’s going to get beat up today, assaulted, and have his nose broken.’
He told his students that he cried for a week after Biden dropped out of the race and Harris took over.
‘We all deserve better,’ he added. ‘You know what this country is. Is our country racist? Is our country patriarchal? Can we change it? Maybe.’
The Moreno Valley Unified School District has confirmed that Perez, who reportedly makes a total yearly salary of $106,442 and is listed as the school’s advisor for the ‘AP Mental Club,’ has been placed on administrative leave while they investigate the incident.
‘We were recently made aware of an incident at one of our high schools, in which a staff member’s discussion about the election results turned unprofessional,’ the school said in a statement. ‘We do not condone the behavior that occurred, and an immediate investigation has been launched.’
‘We recognize the heightened emotions surrounding the current political climate, and we deeply value the diversity of our community, which encompasses a wide range of perspectives and beliefs,’ the district said.
Some students came out in defense of their teacher.
A change.org petition, started by student Andrew S, named ‘BRING BACK MR. PEREZ’ demands the return of Mr. Perez and argues that the tweet by DeAngelis ‘directly’ puts the school in ‘danger.’

The petition calls Mr. Perez one of ‘the best teachers on the campus and one of the kindest too’ and admits that he engaged in an ‘unprofessional moment’ when discussing ‘his mass-disappointment that Donald J. Trump had won.’
One student, Sarah Ghawi, said: ‘It’s just devastating to know that they’re trying to get him out all because of his opinion,’ as reported by ABC7.
‘I think they’re trying to make him seem like a bad guy because of what he said,’ another student who was present during the rant, Mykael James, chimed in. ‘I know it was very strong toned, but that’s how he gives his lecture as a professor.’
‘I feel like it was appropriate,’ she added. ‘I didn’t take it the wrong way, and he was offering up a one-on-one apology after class.’
According to the students, a walk out is planned Tuesday in support of their teacher as thousanss signed a petition urging the school to allow his return.
