Austin FC winger, Osman Bukari, has earned a late call-up to the Black Stars along with five other players after eight players pulled out of Ghana’s squad to face Angola and Niger.
The five players include Ransford Yeboah Konigsdorffer, Forson Amankwah, Terry Yegbe, Ebenezer Annan, and Kingsley Schindler.
The aforementioned players will join the rest of the squad in the coming days to prepare for the team’s final games in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The latest changes mean Otto Addo will have 23 players available for the games instead of the initial 25-man squad announced on November 7, 2024.
The eight players who pulled out of the squad include Inaki Williams, who is reported to have picked up a hamstring injury, as well as Tariq Lamptey, who is also experiencing calf discomfort and is undergoing rehabilitation.
Others are Antoine Semenyo, who is nursing a tendon injury due to an overload of games at Bournemouth, Besiktas defender Alexander Djiku, who has aggravated an existing hamstring injury, and Ibrahim Osman, who is said to have picked up a hamstring injury as well.
Jeremy Poku and Jonas Adjetey are reported to be recovering from injuries they sustained, with Joseph Paintsil withdrawing from the squad due to personal reasons.
Ghana will play Angola on November 15, 2024, and host Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium on November 18, 2024.
