The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has entered into a partnership with Metro Mass Transit (MMT) to improve transportation for national football teams, domestic clubs and supporters across the country.

The agreement was officially unveiled during a ceremony held at the GFA headquarters on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, with officials from both organisations in attendance.

As part of the partnership, MMT will provide insured and roadworthy 54-seater buses for Ghana’s national teams, Ghana Premier League clubs and other leagues under the GFA. The transport company will also deploy trained and licensed drivers to manage transportation services for clubs, match officials, supporters and football stakeholders.

The collaboration will further offer discounted fares on MMT travel and cargo services for football clubs, referees and GFA staff to ease operational costs.

A major feature of the agreement is the introduction of the Fan Transport Programme, which will provide organised transportation for supporters to match venues through designated pick-up and drop-off points.

Fans will also be able to reserve transport services online through a digital platform jointly developed by the GFA and MMT.

GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku described the agreement as a major step toward modernising football logistics in Ghana.
