Head coach of Medeama SC, Ibrahim Tanko, has praised the commitment and hard work of his players following the club’s Ghana Premier League triumph.
Medeama secured their first-ever Ghana Premier League title last Sunday with a game to spare, capping off an impressive campaign that saw the Tarkwa-based side outperform several established clubs.
Speaking after the title-winning achievement, Tanko commended the entire squad for their dedication throughout the season. While several key players received public recognition for their performances, the coach highlighted the efforts of less celebrated members of the team who played crucial roles behind the scenes.
According to Tanko, players such as Manuel Mantey and Godknows Dzakpasu were among the unsung heroes of Medeama’s successful campaign. He noted that their work ethic and determination matched those of more prominent stars including Fuzy Taylor and Salim Adams.
“I am grateful to all the players for their hard work and dedication,” Tanko said.
Medeama’s league success marks a historic milestone for the club and strengthens their reputation as one of Ghana’s rising football forces.
