Former Asante Kotoko SC goalkeeper Frederick Asare delivered an impressive performance as Durban City FC held Orlando Pirates to a goalless draw in the South African Premier League on Sunday.

The Ghanaian shot-stopper produced several crucial saves throughout the encounter to deny the Buccaneers and help his side secure an important away point. Asare displayed excellent composure, sharp reflexes and commanding presence between the posts against one of South Africa’s top clubs.

The clean sheet marks another positive step for the goalkeeper, who has been working his way back to full fitness following a lengthy injury setback earlier in the campaign.

His standout display against Orlando Pirates is expected to boost his confidence as Durban City continue their push for a strong finish to the season.

Asare’s recent performances have highlighted his quality and consistency, with the former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper continuing to establish himself as a key figure for Durban City in the South African top flight.
