Participants of the CAF Licence C Coaching Course at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram have received intensive training in football integrity, ethics and safeguarding as part of their coaching education programme.
The sessions focused on integrity and ethical conduct in football, with special attention given to match manipulation and the need to protect the credibility of the game. Participants were also educated on the regulations and compliance requirements of Confederation of African Football, FIFA and the Ghana Football Association.
A key aspect of the course centred on safeguarding, where coaches were trained on identifying and preventing various forms of abuse in football. Emphasis was placed on creating safe environments for young players and understanding the responsibilities of coaches as protectors of children under their care.
The programme also highlighted child trafficking in football, equipping participants with knowledge to identify risks and help prevent the exploitation of young talents.
