Ghana’s men’s 4x100m relay team delivered an impressive performance to secure qualification for the 2027 World Athletics Championships after finishing second behind China at the World Athletics Relays in Gaborone, Botswana.

The quartet of Eugene Gadayi, Benjamin Azamati, Joseph Paul Amoah, and Abdul-Rasheed Saminu combined effectively to clock a time of 38.09 seconds, sealing their place among the world’s top relay teams.

Ghana showed strong baton exchanges and explosive speed throughout the race, finishing just behind the winners in a highly competitive field. The result underlines the country’s growing strength in sprinting on the global stage.

Qualification for the World Championships marks a significant achievement for the team as they continue preparations for future international competitions. Their performance in Gaborone will boost confidence and raise expectations as Ghana aims to challenge for medals at the global event.
