Ace Ghanaian sports journalist, Collins Atta Poku, has divulged details of conversations he had with some players and officials of Manchester City during their pre-season tour of the United States of America.

Atta Poku, who was in the US at the time, noted that journalists were granted access to the teams at their hotel and during pre- and post-match press conferences.

Atta Poku contrasted the orderliness and respect around those clubs to what pertains in Ghana football.

He then shed light on his conversations with Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola, and Raheem Sterling, who was on the books of Chelsea then.

According to him, Pep Guardiola was heavily interested in the state of Ghana football and asked questions about some Ghanaian footballers.

Atta Poku said Guardiola enquired about the Ghana Premier League and some of the clubs in the country.

Raheem Sterling, according to Atta Poku, said that through Michael Essien and other Ghanaian football stars, he has learnt a lot about Ghana.

He believes that the openness of these top clubs to journalists should be a lesson to Ghanaian football administrators, who he reckons treat media people with utter disrespect.
