Ghana U-17 national team have intensified preparations for their second international friendly against Ivory Coast U-17 national team following a recovery training session in Abidjan.

The session comes after their opening encounter at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, where the Black Starlets impressed in phases but were unable to translate chances into goals. Despite the defeat, the technical team remained encouraged by the team’s overall performance.

Tuesday’s light training focused on recovery, with players undergoing stretching routines, mobility drills, and controlled ball work to regain fitness after the physically demanding first match. The medical team also monitored injured players closely, assessing their readiness ahead of the return fixture.

Coaches used the session to begin tactical adjustments, placing emphasis on improving efficiency in front of goal after missed opportunities in the previous game. Brief discussions were held with players to refine attacking movements and decision-making in the final third.

The team is expected to resume full-intensity training on Wednesday as preparations intensify for Thursday’s clash. The match offers another key opportunity for assessment ahead of the upcoming U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, with Ghana aiming for a stronger and more clinical display.
