Ghanaian youngster Morrison Agyemang continued his bright start to life in the MLS, finding the net for the second consecutive game, but it was not enough as Charlotte FC suffered a 4-2 defeat to Nashville SC at the GEODIS Park.
The 21-year-old was promoted to the first team at the start of the season, has quickly become a key figure in Charlotte’s setup with his consistent performances.
He pulled one back for his side just before halftime, rising to meet a delivery from Ashley Westwood and powering a diving header past the goalkeeper to reduce the deficit.
Agyemang’s goal follows his maiden MLS strike earlier in the week against Orlando City, highlighting his growing confidence and attacking contribution from the back.
Despite his efforts, Charlotte were unable to mount a comeback as Nashville maintained control to secure the win. The home side featured fellow Ghanaians Maxwell Woledzi and Abdul Shaku Mohammed, who both played their part in the victory.
Morrison Agyemang’s recent form will come as a positive sign for Charlotte, as the young defender continues to establish himself in the league.
