South African coach, Pitso Mosimane has revealed that he did not receive a concrete offer to coach the Ghana national football team despite being contacted following the departure of Otto Addo.
Mosimane, who previously managed Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly, stated that only a Ghana Football Association (GFA) official reached out to him after Addo was relieved of his duties. However, he stressed that the approach was informal and never developed into serious negotiations.
“I was contacted, but it was not something concrete,” Mosimane clarified, downplaying speculation linking him strongly to the role.
The GFA has since moved on to appoint Carlos Queiroz as head coach of the Black Stars ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
Queiroz is expected to lead Ghana into the tournament, with the association hoping his experience will guide the team to a strong performance on the global stage.
