The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has postponed all Ghana Premier League Match Day 30 fixtures following the tragic death of Dominic Frimpong.

Frimpong, a striker for Berekum Chelsea, lost his life after an armed robbery attack on the team’s bus a few days ago, an incident that has sent shockwaves across the football community in Ghana.

In a statement, the GFA’s Executive Council said the decision to suspend the fixtures was taken to allow players, officials and supporters nationwide to mourn and pay tribute to the late footballer. The Association described the development as a painful loss to the sport and extended condolences to his family and loved ones.

The league is expected to resume with Match Day 31 fixtures during the weekend of May 1–4, 2026. A new date for the postponed matches will be announced in due course.

Frimpong also had ties with Aduana FC, further deepening the sense of loss within the domestic game.
