Lovina Ewusi has set a new national record in the women’s 400m hurdles after clocking an impressive 56.41 seconds at the Tom Jones Invitational in the United States.
Representing Texas Tech Track & Field, Ewusi delivered a personal best performance to surpass her previous Ghana record, continuing her remarkable rise in the event.
The new time improves on her recent mark of 57.15 seconds, set just three weeks earlier, which had already broken her May 2025 national record of 57.79 seconds.
Her latest achievement also places her third on the all-time performance list at Texas Tech, underlining her growing impact at the collegiate level.
A former standout of Edinaman Senior High School, Ewusi’s consistent progress highlights her potential on the international stage as she continues to lower Ghana’s benchmark in the 400m hurdles.
