Nations FC captain Razak Simpson has set his sights on continental football after they punched their ticket in the final of the 2025/26 MTN FA Cup.
The Sky Blues secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Aduana FC at the Swedru Stadium, with Emmanuel Annor scoring the decisive goal in just the eighth minute. The early strike proved enough as Nations held firm to seal qualification.
Despite Aduana’s strong response and clear determination to win the competition, they were unable to find the equalizer, as Nations FC remained compact at the back to protect their lead.
Speaking after the game, Simpson highlighted the team’s ambition to compete on the African stage, revealing it as a major motivation for their FA Cup run.
“Playing in Africa is our dream. I’ve never played in Africa before, but we have players who have, our goalkeeper Sanon and also Sulley,” he said.
“They’ve been telling us how good Africa is and how everything is there. So it is also our dream this season to go there.”
Nations FC will now face the winner of the second semi-final clash between Medeama SC and Dreams FC as they aim to secure their first major trophy and a ticket to continental football.
