Ghanaian topflight fold Berekum Chelsea will resume training on Monday, April 20, as the club begins a gradual recovery from the armed robbery attack that sadly claimed the life of their player Dominic Frimpong, who was on loan from Aduana FC.

The team has been dealing with the aftermath of the tragic incident, with several players and officials still undergoing psychological and medical assessments. Despite this, some members of the squad have been cleared to resume training in phases.

Club Public Relations Officer Isaac Obeng confirmed the development, stating that the welfare of players and staff remains a top priority.

“Some of the players and staff are still undergoing assessments, but others have been cleared to return to training step by step,” he told Citi Sports.

The decision to resume training marks a significant step in the club’s efforts to return to normalcy following the shocking attack, which has deeply affected the entire team and the wider football community.

Meanwhile, police investigations into the incident are ongoing, with two suspects, including a suspected gang leader, already arrested in connection with the case.
